FERRARI RACING

Entered For Grand Prix (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The 2.5-litre Ferrari for the Tasman championship races, starting with the New Zealand Grand Prix on January 8, was definitely being built and would be shipped before the end of this month, said the manager of the Grand Prix organisation, Mr R. Frost, yesterday. The car had been entered by John Surtees and would be driven by him if he had recovered from the injuries received in a crash in Canada last month. If Surtees was unable to drive, it was probable that Lorenzo Bandini, the No. 2 Ferrari works driver to Surtees, would come for the eight championship races, said Mr Frost. In either case, four of the top six drivers in this year's world championship would be driving at Pukekohe. They were the champion, Jim Clark (Lotus), the B.R.M team comprising Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart, second and third in the championship table; and either Surtees or Bandini, who were in fifth and sixth places. . . The only top man missing would be Dan Gurney, who was fourth in his Brabham.
