Veterans Plan Reunion The first meeting of the Canterbury Crete Campaigners’ Association was held in Christchurch on Thursday evening. The association, which already has more than 100 members, decided to hold a special reunion next year on May 20, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the invasion of Crete. The convener (Mr T. J. Kirk-Bumnand) paid tribute to the late Lieutenant-Colonel J. Leggat. Officers elected were: president, Brigadier J. T. Burrows; vice-president, Brigadier T. C. Campbell; secretary, Mr J. Jordan; treasurer, Mr I. J. Wilson; committee, Messrs T. J. Kirk j ßumnand, J. R. H. Heffkxrd. A. F. G. McGregor, C. C. Miller, R. W. Moms, C, O. Barron, R. Tull, G. Thompson.
