Emergency Declared (N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) SALISBURY, Nov.s. A state of emergency was declared throughout Rhodesia today, Radio Rhodesia announced. The radio quoted the Minister of Law and Order, Mr Desmond Lardner-Burke, as saying that a three-month emergency had been imposed because there was a threat to security in Rhodesia. The announcement was made only a few minutes after the Prime Minister, Mr lan Smith, had left a Cabinet meeting. He refused to comment when asked if there would be a unilateral declaration of independence by Rhodesia.
