Rowing Starts
Today the first club regatta of the Canterbury Rowing Season will be held at Kerr’s Reach. This season sees a return to the traditional form of the head of the river regattas. Last season the three river clubs held mixed event regattas, which were not entirely satisfactory. Now each club will run a separate event. Avon- starts the oars swinging with a doubles event. Later Union and Canterbury will hold doubles and fours events.
