(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 4. The troubles of the cruiser Royalist in the Solomon Islands are affecting four men aboard. Three are due to be married in New Zealand this month and the fourth has his wedding arranged for the first week in December. A message from the ship says: “They are wondering if they will get to the church on time.” The men to be married this month are Petty Officer Signalman I. L.

Heard of Blenheim (November 20), Leading Radioman D. R. Bretherton, of Matamata, and Ordinary Signalman K. Withers, of Havelock North (both November 27). Lieutenant J. V. Burr of Auckland plans to marry on December 4. Petty Officer Cook J. L. Wailace, of Glenfield, and Cook D. R. Goodwin, of Hamilton, volunteered to go aboard the Royal Navy survey ship Dampier on Monday and worked through the night baking bread and roasting mutton.

For recreation a small arms shooting competition has been organised for all ranks.
