Obituary

MR M. FISHER (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 4. Mr Michael Fisher, father of Sir Woolf Fisher and a director of Fisher and Paykel. Ltd., has died in Auckland, aged 87. Mr Fisher, who came to New Zealand from England in 1906. was in business for some years at Paraparaumu. He moved to Auckland in 1924. With the late Mr G. Paykel, Mr M. Paykel and his son, Mr Fisher was a cofounder of Fisher and Paykel, Ltd., in 1934. He was active in the affairs of the company until very recently. Mr Fisher is survived by three sons and three daughters.

Tokyo Post.— Mr J. Floyd will shortly replace Mr C. B. Murray in the New Zealand Trade Commissioner’s office in Tokyo.—(P.A.)
