ROWLING LEADS
Eight Wins G. Rowling (Motueka), with eight wins, was leading after nine rounds in the New Zealand Croquet Council’s presidents’ tournament at Ashburton. C. T. Wadsworth (Auckland) and H. C. Ford (Wellington) follow, with six wins each. Yesterday the tournament entered the second series after all eight players had completed seven rounds of matches. If conditions remain fine the tournament is expected to end tomorrow. Yesterday’s results were:— Seventh Round—H. C. Ford (Wellington) 26. J. J. Campbell • Hamilton) 5: G. Rowling (Motueka) 26.
