Hit-And-Run Driver

The police are seeking the driver of a car which collided with a 12-year-old cyclist at the intersection of Manchester street and Bealey avenue, last evening and failed to stop.

The cyclist, Mark Bradley, of 30 Eversleigh street, was not seriously injured. He suffered hand injuries. The car was painted white and red, the upper part red. and is thought to be a latemodel English sedan. Glass was found at the scene of the collision, and the car probably has a damaged head light. Anyone who saw the collision or can help to identify the driver of the car is asked to get in touch with the motor accident inquiry branch at the Christchurch Central Police Station.
