Favourable Report (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, November 3. Britain’s economy received a stimulus yesterday with another favourable report on gold and convertible currency reserves. The reserves increased by £42 million in October, in spite of repayment of some overseas loans, the Treasury announced. It was the second month in succession that the Bank of England had been able to repay to overseas central banks some of the millions borrowed to save the pound, and at the same time to increase the reserves stockpile. At the end of September, reserves stood at £984 million. They are now £1026 million—only the second time since March. 1964, that they have topped the £lOOO million mark, and the highest they have been since the £1046 million of May. 1963
