Baptist Union President

The Rev. F. H. Carter, minister of the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle, has been elected president of the New Zealand Baptist Union. Since his graduation in 1939, he has held ministries in Lyall Bay, Hamilton and Nelson. He has served on the Baptist Union Council, Board of Evangelism and the Theological College Board. In 1957, Mr Carter spent several months as guest evangelist with the Baptist Union of West Australia and served as New Zealand Union evangelist in 1959 and 1960. He has taken a keen interest in the Boys’ Brigade and he has served as chaplain to the forces.
