STRUCK BY TRAIN
Boy Badly Hurt W.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Oct. 29. A four and a-half-year-old boy is seriously ill in the Dunedin Public Hospital after being hit by an InvercargillDunedin goods train near the Kensington siding at 8.55 a.m. today. He is Graham Charles Preston, of 13 Kensington avenue. He was apparently playing near a set of points.
Sewerage Contract—Owen Stopforth, Ltd, has been awarded a £3444 contract by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the sixth section of the Avonhead sewer reticulation project. The company’s tender was the lowest of three. The others were £3BOB and £5537.
