Paringa-Haast Road
Sir,—lt seems "BushBappy, Blue Raver,” has some axo to grind, but -why rush
to press in such a state? The road is very nearly through, and I think will be opened as planned. Roadways, Ltd., and their men are to be commended, considering the weather alone—some 460-odd inches in their two years so far, which is above normal. There is a big flap about a vehicle crossing the gap. What about the trucks from Wanaka? Did they go right round the long way? I doubt it Neither did the five others so far. —Yours, etc., PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. October 21, 1965.
