Refresher Leave
Sir,—During the last war, the pilot who reported that he “sighted sub, sank same,” was understood. His capacity and devotion to duty were nicely recognised, too, not by his rather laconic alliteration but because of the wide experience and deep knowledge of those to whom the report was made.
