INDIANS DEMONSTRATE.—Thousands of Indians took part in this demonstration outside the United States embassy in New Delhi, protesting at the American Government’s threat to discontinue sending wheat if Indians failed to reach a compromise with Pakistan on the Kashmir problem. Copies of “The Times" and “Newsweek” were burned, as both carried articles criticising the Indian Government.
