OPERATIONS OPPORTUNITY COMPANY EXPANSION and re-organisation has created an excellent opportunity for an executive in the mid-30 to early 40 age bracket, to join our organisation as Operations Manager for New Zealand. THE COMPANY: Hygrade Packaging Company is a substantial subsidiary of Australian Consolidated Industries Ltd., —a leader in the packaging industry in New Zealand. THE JOB: The successful applicant will be completely responsible for the efficient operation of all manufacturing units through the Company. In additions, his responsibilities will extend to cover plant and building maintenance for all seven plants, as well as forward planning and purchasing. He will be based at the Hygrade Head Office at Penrose, but will be required to visit the Branch factories in Hastings, Palmerston North, Levin, Wellington and Christchurch. QUALIFICATIONS: We are not necessarily looking for a graduate in engineering or commerce (although some experience in both of these disciplines is desirable). We do, however, require a practical man with a proven record of administrative ability, who is able to handle production engineering and budgetary control problems. He must have the ability to lead and to motivate others associated with production work. Some experience in cardboard carton and container manufacture and/or control over multibranch activities would also be desirable, but sound engineering knowledge of machinery in essential.
