Dancers Will Help Singer
* Mr Harry Wren, the Australian show promoter, has deceived a cable from the El-year-old Auckland singer, Miss Kiri Te Kanawa, accepting his offer of the proceeds from 12 seats at each performance of the “Africa Dances” troupe during its New Zealand tour.
The gift, which could exceed £9OO, is to help the Auckland girl when she goes overseas.
Miss Te Kanawa is expected to go to Los Angeles in December to sing at a banquet marking the opening of the Air New Zealand service to North America before leaving for Britain in February to eontinue her musical studies.
