MARIST WICKET
How bad the Marist wicket is I do not know, but it seems strange that on this wicket, if I read aright, was put up the second highest score by any senior or 2A side on the last two Saturdays—and that the opposing side was not completely hopeless is proved by the fact that it won the game. A few years ago. a junior club. West Old Boys, was forced out of existence. There is still a Technical Old Boys battling in juniors. Now that the two schools which gave birth to these clubs have amalgamated. I should love to think that the boys from this new school will throw in their weight, when they leave, behind Technical Old Boys—and perhaps change the name of the club to Hagley Old Boys. —R.C.B.
