U.K. Delegation Named

(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Oct. 20. Mr Emanuel Shinwell, chairman of the Parliamentary j Labour Party and a former Minister, will lead the United Kingdom delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference which opens in Wellington on November 20. Mr W. B. Tennent, the chair- j man of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, said today that the British delegation would be accompanied by Mr Bernard Braine (Conservative), who was attending as a member of the association's general council. Other members of the delegation are Mr Arthur Hen- J derson. a former Minister, Mr William Baxter, Mr G. H. R. Rogers. Mr Tom Steele (Government), the Hon. Thomas Galbraith. *

Mr Peter Mills, Dame ■loan Vickers and Dame Irene Ward (Conservative). Mr Tennent said that some members of the United Kingdom delegation would visit branches of the association in the West Indies and the Pacific before arriving in Wellington on November 13. A number of delegations were making similar visits to member countries, in keeping with association's policy of encouraging wider Commonwealth contacts and a first hand knowledge and understanding of the way of life and problems of these countries. Mr Tennent said. The delegates about 150— would also tour New Zealand for 11 days before they came to the conference table. "In this way they will come
