A business mission of 15 to 20 executives would be sent by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce to Christchurch, arriving on February 4, said the secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association (Mr R. T. Alston) yesterday. The mission, he said, would spend three days in Christchurch. It had been encouraged to come by the Canterbury association.
The assistant secretary of the Birmingham chamber (Mr J. Wharton) had advised that the mission would be a really strong, representative team. The mission would also visit Auckland and Wellington.
