Minute’s Silence On Radio Urged
Reintroduction of the oneminute silent prayer observed by radio stations at 9 p.m. each day during the Second World War is being sought by the Association of Presbyterian Women and the Northland Presbytery because of the unsettled world situation. They have asked the National Council of Churches to make representations to the N.Z.B.C. The council’s executive committee decided yesterday to refer the matter to its television and broadcasting committee.
