50-Mile In April In spite of suggestions by interested followers and some officials that the New Brighton 50 —New Zealand’s longest single stage foot race—should be held earlier in the season to attract more entries, the Canterbury Road Runners’ Association has chosen to continue holding the event at the end of the season.
