GARDENS IN PAPANUI
Competition Results
i A garden competition held by the Redwood Beautifying Association of north Papanui was judged yesterday. It was won by Mr and Mrs Clark, of 39 Dunedin street, one point ahead of Mr and Mrs C. Shaskey, of 30 Prestons road. The contest was for the Morton Smith Challenge Cup. Third place went to Mr and Mrs J. P. Robinson, of 9 Grimseys road. Merit awards went to Mr and Mrs R. M. Skevington, of 159 Highsted road, Mr and Mrs O. Cairns, of 3 Rossiter avenue. Mr and Mrs Z. F. Petty, of 53 Winters road, Mr and Mrs B. E. Mooney, of 51 Winters road, and Mr and Mrs Shoal, of 9 Grimseys road. The judge (Mr R. Proctor) said the standard of entries was very high for a new club.
