Milk Delivery
Sir, —Our vendor frequently leaves insufficient milk, or no milk, but always takes all cash or tokens and we get profane abuse when he is asked to correct errors. As we have a young family milk in our house is as important as water. We have complained to the Metropolitan Milk Board, but nothing has been done. Now we have written to the Minister of Agriculture, who advised that there is a Milk Bill before the -House. Why cannot the board administer genuine and honest service? Their clientele are mainly women and nursing mothers. —Yours, etc. BREEN’S ROAD, HAREWOOD. October 6, 1965.
[The secretary of the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board (Mr C. S. Bowie) replies: “The evidence recently produced to the board in respect to a complaint from this area was that the statements made were incorrect. The correspondent should supply to me full details of any alleged failure by the vendor to give satisfactory service, for proper investigation. An adequate vending [service is, in fact, available for this area.”]
