Gaoled For Bigamy
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 11. Richard McLean, aged 27, a porter-barman, was gaoled for nine months on a charge of bigamy and convicted and discharged on a charge of ear conversion when he appeared for sentence today. Mr J. B. Thomson, S.M., said McLean would be put on probation for a year after his release. The Magistrate said that McLean had no excuse for bigamy even though, at the time, his wife had been unfaithful.
