Cashin Quay Busier
Cashin Quay is becoming busier. The Port Macquarie, , which had been berthed there since Friday morning, completed discharging more than ' 1200 tons of London cargo 1 last evening and sailed for 1 Bluff. This morning the Laurit- ’ zen Line’s 2808-ton motor ves- ’ sei Argentinean Reefer will berth at Cashin Quay to disl charge 23,000 cases of bananas, including 7000 loadI ed at Tonga. The rest is Aus- : tralian bananas loaded at : Brisbane. The bananas will be disi charged with pallets and • taken to the transit sheds. : The Australian bananas will i be fumigated. An Australian banana cargo is rare at Lyttelton but Iby no means unknown.
