Crayfish For Hawaii
(N.Z. Press Association) ! AUCKLAND, October 11. Nearly three tons of North Island crayfish tails, worth £ll,BOO, were loaded into the Monterey in Auckland for Hawaii today. It was the fifth consignment from the new crayfish processing plant set up at Whirianga by Mercm Bay Seafoods. Ltd., which developed the market in Hawaii.
The firm's managing-direc-tor, Mr W. A. Pennycook. said today about 22 tons had now been shipped to Honolulu, and it was hoped tn send 80 tons before the season ended next March. I
