(N.Z Pretf Xooctarion > DUNEDIN. Oct. 11 Gross proceeds from the |two-day wool sale in Dunedin on September 29 and October 1 were £2.975.706. The wool sold at an average price of 44.91 d per lb—less than 7d per lb lower than at the same sale last year, but j almost 5d per lb more than at the winter sale on August 17. The two-day sale last year brought £3.3m at an average price of 51.82 d—one of the highest averages last year. The average bale price for that sale was £67 15s 4d and at this year's sale, £6l, Ils sd.
