Drop Shown In Net Profit (N.Z Press Association) DUNEDIN, Oct. 11. A drop of £llB4 was recorded in net profit of the Otago Farmers’ Co-operative Association, according to the accounts of the company for the year ended July 31.
Sale of merchandise, commission, storage charges and interest brought in £243,745 (£240,745 last year). Dividends and interest on Government -tock took the revenue up to £244,544 (£242,689). Expenses were also slightly up. Before tax profit was £48.872 (£51,698), of which taxation took £25,208 (£26,850). The 5J per cent dividend will take £10,074 (£262), and directors propose to transfer £13,000 to the general reserve. With a balance carried forward from last year of £31,354, this leaves £31,982 to be carried forward for the 1965-66 year. COM
