40 Arrested In Riot
(N.Z. Press Association) MILAN. More than 40 persons were arrested in the soccer riot that broke out after a tense game in which Milan defeated Napoli, 4-1, to take first place in the Italian Major League championship. More than 30,000 Neapolitans had travelled north to support their team. Several hundred jubilant Milan fans gathered on the street to make fun of the Neapolitans heading home. As bus loads of the southerners drove away from the stadium, jeers and insults flew, quickly followed by firecrackers and stones.
