'No Players Considered’
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Manawatu Football Association has lodged a strong protest with the New Zealand Football Association about the continued ignoring of Manawatu players for New Zealand soccer teams. It is claimed that no Manawatu player was considered for either the New Zealand under 21 or under 23 teams that played at Masterton at the week-end. Moreover, M.F.A. representatives were not even considered for the trials to select the New Zealand team for the world tour in 1963. The matter will be referred to the N.Z.F.A. Council for consideration.
