ELECTION RESULTS
N. Canterbury Seats Provisional election results were changed in two cases when the final counts were made for some councils in North Canterbury yesterday. In the Hundalee riding of the Kaikoura County the sitting member, Mr P. B. B. Nixon, was re-elected with a majority of 12, after being eight votes behind Mr A. B. Anderson in the provisional count on Saturday. The final count was: P. B. B. Nixon 130 (elected); A. B. Anderson 118. The other change was in the Cust riding of the Rangiora County, where the contest has been very close on several occasions. In the final count D. Ensor retained his seat by a margin of three votes after having been five behind on Saturday. The final count was: D. Ensor 160 (elected): W. P. Smith 157; informal 20.
