M.P.s SENT NEWSPAPER

Thomson’s Action (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 21. Members of Parliament have again received copies of Lord Thomson’s London newspaper, the “Sunday Times.” Each member has received, at a cost of 38s 9d to Lord Thomson, three copies of last week’s issues. This is the second week members have received copies of the newspaper. Parliamentarians believe the copies were sent because Lord Thomson is still interested in owning a New Zealand newspaper. He was unsuccessful in his bid last year for the Wellington morning newspaper, the “Dominion.” The Government may introduce legislation in the next few days on the ownership of New Zealand newspapers.
