TALKS THIS WEEK
Kindergarten Association (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. Representatives of 63 kindergarten associations will meet for the annual conference of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union in New Plymouth from September 21 to 23. The guest speaker at the opening will be. the Director of Education (Mr A. E. Campbell). In the last year eight new kindergartens have been recognised, bringing the total to 243. Fifteen others, are being built, five are being planned and nine are awaiting permission to proceed with building plans.
New Chairman.—The chairman of the commission of overseas missions and interchurch aid of the National Council of Churches is Miss Patricia Morrison, not Mrs Patricia Morrison as was reported yesterday.
