Cup V) inner As Show Juniper | “The Press” Special Service WANGANUI. ; Th* noted Wanganui stayer : Ruato, which won the 1961 | Auckland Cup, will appear again i this summer as a show-jumper. Ruato, winner of almost £20.000, was retired after running unplaced in Foxy Boy's Ashhurst Cup at Awapuni last January. His owner. Mr D. J. Wilkie, of Whangaehu. has lent the nine-year-old gelding to Mr R. H Teki.. of Raetihi.
Mr Teki expects to have Ruato on hand for the Hastings Show next month. Miss Pauline Teki will be his show-day rider. There is one stipulation with regard to Mr Teki's use of Ruato The good stayer will not be raced again.
