BLOSSOM OUT AGAIN

(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Sept. 15. Wellington’s sea elephant of 1962 fame, Blossom is back and up to his old tricks.

Two Island Bay fishermen had a fright this morning when he reared up alongside their dinghy. The sea elephant brushed against their craft nearly upsetting it.

This was a favourite prank of Blossom when he was in the Oriental Bay boat harbour three years ago.

The sea elephant is believed to be Blossom because of a distinctive scar.

This is his third reported appearance. The second was in October, 1964.
