FISHERIES VESSEL
Patrolling To Begin (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 14. The New Zealand minesweeper, H.M.N.Z.S. Inverell, will start patrolling the coast of the North Island next Monday. The refitted, recommissioned 1942 minesweeper’s first task on attachment to the fisheries protection flotilla, is a 28-day patrol of the exclusive fishing waters. The Inverell will assist the flotilla until the second Bath-urst-class minesweeper, the Kiama, is ready to take over. Work has begun on the Kaima, and the minesweeper should be ready for service in the new year.
