Manager’s Report
"The arrangement* were a bi t hairy for a kick-off." Mr V R. Smith, manager of the Canterbury soccer team In Auck land last week-end, reported to the Canterbury Football Asso elation last evening. “The biggest disappointment was that no-one was there tn meet us at Whenuapai airport “The players were very happy with their bllletors—when the billetors arrived. "And the officials were booked into three different hotels "We hear of the superlative administration in the Queen City, but it does not compare well with Canterbury.” said Mr Smith.
Mr Smith did mention some redeeming factors: practice balls were available without asking, changing facilities were "really something," and a soc ial was put on for the plaverWith regard to the matdi an E.F.A. Cup challenge which ended in a 1 all draw, Mr Smith said the Canterbury association would have been proud of the team, and the result was quite fair.
