DJAKARTA, Sept. 14.

The Indonesian Air Force has been equipped with air-to-air guided missiles, the Air Defence Commander, Air Commodore Sujitnosukirno, has announced.

Djakarta newspapers reported that the commander made the announcement in a press conference with local reporters. He said new jet fighters and bombers equipped with modern armament and a vast radar network had strengthened the Air Force.

He also announced the possession of air-to-air and ground-to-air guided missiles, ihe papers said.
