COURSE FOR STUDENTS
N.Z. Customs Procedures
(N Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Sept. 14. Ten students from eight countries will attend a course for customs officers in Wellington from September 21. The students, from Thailand, Hong Kong, Ceylon, Indonesia, Zambia, Malaya, Nepal and the Philippines, will be taught how New Zealand has developed its own customs procedures. The three-month course will be a contribution to the New Zealand programme of aid for developing countries. Recently, senior officers wanting to study New Zealand customs administration have arranged study visits.
It was decided last year to replace these with a coordinated course. The cost of the course will be borne by the Government.
