Airline Party Seeking Business In N.Z.

Il Mayors across the Tasman !> greeted each other today 1 when a party of Australian i airline representatives pre- 1 sented the Mayor of Auckland (Mr D. M. Robinson) with a good-will message from the; Lord Mayor of Sydney (Aiderman H. Jensen). The six-man party, led by; Mr B. Palmer, is the biggest travel and trade mission sent to New Zealand by the Australian Government-owned domestic airline, Trans-Aus-tralia Airlines. It includes Mr T. Henty, son of the Australian Minister of Civil Aviation, Senator j Denham Henty, and the air-j line’s cargo marketing mana-; ger. Mr J. Blayney. They will call on cargo! shippers in Auckland and other centres as far as Inver-
cargill seeking export cargoes under the new free trade agreement. Mr Palmer said: “We expect! a big upsurge in air transport of cargo across the Tasman 1 as a result of the trade agreement and the introduction of jet aircraft. Much of this cargo will be carried to < markets throughout Australia ! by air also.”
