Soccer Captain Suspended
(N.Z. Press Association)
AUCKLAND, Sept. 13.
The captain of the Mount Wellington premier division soccer team, J. Fegan, has been suspended for four weeks by the Auckland Football Association.
The Mount Wellington club has lodged an appeal against this decision.
Fegan was ordered off for “violent conduct” in a knockout tournament match last Wednesday. The Manurewa centreforward, P. Madden, was ordered off in the same incident. Madden is under the control of the Franklin Football Association, and his case will not be heard until tomorrow night.
