Competition 'Has Improved Service'

MASTERTON, September 13
The public has received a better service as a result of competition between S.P.A.N.Z. and N.A.C., Mr H. R. tapwood, member of Parliament for Rotorua, said in Masterton during the visit of six Parliamentarians to the Wairarapa during the week-end.
Mr Lapwood said local ' bodies in Rotorua believed they had the facilities for an air service and they welcomed allcomers. “We do not want to be tied to any one airline,” he I said.
The member for Waitaki. Mr A. D. Dick, said he sup-; parted S.P.A.N.Z. “They have given a good' service south of Christchurch that N.A.C. was loath to give ' 'They have built up the ( routes, given a good service and deserve consideration,’’ I said Mr Dick.
The member for Wairarapa, Mr H. V. Donald, said he would like to see S.PA.N.Z continue in operation if it could maintain a service economically. »l Mr Donald said he would .'like to see the Hood Aerodrome at Masterton sealed.
