HAMILTON Sept. 13.
Six youths who escaped from the Melville Boys’ Home at Hamilton on Saturday nighl were recaptured at Te Ko whai west, near Hamilton, al 9.30 a.m. today. The youths, some of whom were armed, were captured in a patch of scrub on the property of Mr B. Kibble. A police dog flushed them out of their hiding place and they offered no resistance. 11 is believed they spent the night in a bam on Mr Kibble’s property. An all night search had been made in the area by armed police from Hamilton. Police are inquiring into the theft of two .22 and one .303 rifles and 4000 rounds of ammunition from a shop in Hamilton on Saturday night. The youths, five Maoris and one part islander, are aged between 14 and 16.
