In an inter-island colts’ hockey match in Palmerston North today, Southern zone beat Northern zone by 2 goals to 1. Southern won by better trapping and better cohesion between the backs and halves.
Goal-scorers for Southern were D. Honey (Ashburton) and M. Bennett (Canterbury). W. Thompson scored for Northern.
