RECORD IN EXPORTS
Manufacturers’ Products Exports by manufacturers of products other than processed produce have more than doubled in two years, and increased by more than £2m in value in the 1964-65 trading year, says the latest statistics bulletin of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation. Total exports by manufacturers reached the record total of £16.900,000 in the year. compared with £14,300,000 in the previous year and £11,200,000 in 1962-63.
In the year ended March 31 last increases in exports included £150.000 for forest produce. £250,000 for processed vegetables, and £150.000 for processed non-metallic mineral manufactures. These were partly offset by a drop of £400,000 in the value of frozen vegetables.
