Bananas Up
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. As from Monday the prices of bananas in the main centre will be Is 3d per lb, according to a notice in tonight’s gazette. The last price order relating to bananas came into force on February 8 and set the prices at Is 2d and Is 2id per lb. Main centres are listed as Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. Dunedin. Whangarei, Takapuna, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Stratford, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Timaru, Westport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore and Invercargill.
