Many of our older rugby fans will remember the final test between .New Zealand and the first Springbok team to tour the Dominion in 1921. As each team had won one test match, excitement ran high on the outcome of this third and final test More than 18,000 people crowded into Athletic Park, Wellington, in appalling weather. Rain fell heavily, reducing the field to a quagmire. Towards the end of the game, a sudden cloudburst sent hundreds of spectators sliding down the Park banks in a sea of mud. The game ended in a scoreless draw but both teams, despite the weather, provided an exhibition of football which exceeded all expectations. An inconclusive result is no great satisfaction to players or spectators alike but there's nothing inconclusive about the results motorists are getting on Caltex 80R0N... in all tests it’s a winner.
