ON-BEAT SWIMMER
Miss Shirley Nicholson, of Christchurch, the former New Zealand swimming champion and holder of the 440 yards record, will switch from swimming to walking on Tuesday when she becomes Policewoman S. A. Nicholson. Miss Nicholson passed out of the Police Training School, Trentham, on Tuesday with two other new policewomen and 44 male constables. Miss Nicholson represented New Zealand at the 1962 Commonwealth Games.
