SOUVENIR COINS

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Souvenir 1965 coin sets, including the half-crown, will be supplied by the Royal Mint, the Under-Secretary of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said today. “They will provide a tangible souvenir of the pounds, shillings and pence system of currency to be replaced in July, 1967. by decimal currency.” he said. The three grades of sets available are: Polished specimen sets at £2 each. Selected coins at £1 a set. Ordinary uncirculated coin sets at 10s each. “All coins will be sealed at the mint in partitioned transparent envelopes and supplied in attractively printed souvenir folders. “Orders are limited to three sets a person and cash or cheques must be forwarded with the orders to the Treasury, Wellington,” he said.
