Williment To Play In U.K.
CN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. The All Black full-back, M. W. Williment, will play some of his Rugby next year in Britain. He is to leave for Britain for a holiday next month, but will return to New Zealand early in the next Rugby season. He hoped to play Rugby in Britain, he said, “but not seriously.” “It will be largely to keep fit for the next New Zealand season.” Sampson Gets Four Tries (N.Z. Press Association) ASHBURTON, Sept. 2. Mid-Canterbury snatched a last minute win by 16-11 over Golden Bay-Motueka today. The Mid-Canterbury leftwing, B. V. Sampson, was in great form, scoring four tries. A. H. A. Smith converted two of Sampson’s tries. For Golden Bay-Motueka, H. Douglas and G. Douglas scored tries and J. Sloane converted one and kicked a penalty.
